French Wineries 'blog' As Vintage Continues

2005 Harvest at Château Palmer
A few of France's top Châteaux are using web logs - or blogs - to give a running daily commentary on the progress of their harvest this year.
Château Palmer in Bordeaux, and Château de Beaucastel in the Rhône, owned by the Perrin family, are both embracing the latest technology, in online diaries that are more commonly associated with personal web sites than with corporate bodies.
The Perrin site explains, for example, how all the Grenache grapes in Beaucastel were harvested earlier this week, while Palmer trumpets the end of the Merlot harvest on Wednesday.
