I contacted Bill at Grand Cru concerning a short tern solution to deal with a few bottles of wine. Cases and pieces were due to arrive over the next few weeks and I needed a place to stash 'em until I made time to integrate my storage schemas...
William W. Vergever,(Bill), a very amicable person--an avid wine accumulator himself, too. Bill and his partners have named their Wine Storage Facility, Grand Cru,L.L.C. a holding company... mirroring their passion evidently!.

The lockers are centrally located in East Sacramento off Arden Way about a mile or so east of Arden Fair Mall. They have a 3200 sq. ft. warehouse building and within that we have a 1200 sq. ft. commercial walk-in cooler which contains the bulk of their temperature-controlled wine lockers.
In addition, they have two indoor, private-room, cellars as well as a tasting bar/lobby where you can host private dinners and tastings. The room is room available to clients for their own private gatherings.
Currently, the cool wine lockers are kept at 58ĚŠ and 65-75% humidity and hold 14-16 cases of standard 750's. Larger, 21-24 case, lockers are being planned for the near future.
They have a 25,000 watt back-up generator on-site, as well as an extensive alarm system. They also accept direct shipments from wineries, brokers, etc., to facilitate clients not having to scheduling deliveries at your home or work.
They are a couple of wine lovers that, over time, found they had a need for secure, temperature-controlled cellaring to protect their own investments. They also wanted a place where they could relax and share their wines with fellow enophiles.
Finding nothing in the Sacramento area that met their desires, they decided to build their own.
