Kyocera Donates Over $90,000 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
Kyocera Advanced Ceramics is supporting the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation by giving those who love to cook an opportunity to support the fight against breast cancer. Kyocera Advanced Ceramics is offering a Special Edition 5.5" Santoku Ceramic Knife with an ergonomic pink-colored handle (Model # FK-140-SE, MSRP: $79.95). The ceramic Santoku is ideal for slicing fruits, vegetables and boneless meats. For each knife sold, Kyocera will donate $5.00 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. To date, Kyocera Advanced Ceramics has donated over $90,000.
The Special Edition pink handled 5.5" Santoku knife is available at Williams-Sonoma stores nationwide and many other fine specialty kitchen retailers.
Support for breast cancer research extends throughout the Kyocera group companies from California to Japan. An employee-led effort at Kyocera America, Inc. in San Diego, CA has raised over $32,000 this year towards the fight against breast cancer through local fund raising events. In Kyoto, Japan, Kyocera’s headquarters supports the "Pink Ribbon Kyoto Campaign" October 1 to 31,which promotes screening mammography for detecting breast cancer at an early stage.
