National Bourbon Heritage Month Celebrate With Jefferson’s

The art of bourbon making is as old as our country itself. Its an industry that is intertwined in U.S. history. It has been a source of pride for Kentucky and has served as a major part of their economy for over 200 years.
For these reasons the U.S. Senate has recently named September National Bourbon Heritage Month, (see: “United States Senate Declares September 'National Bourbon Heritage Month”),. What better way to celebrate than with a family of bourbons that capture the spirit of American history.
Jefferson’s, Jefferson’s Reserve and Sam Houston are all very small batch bourbons with quality and flavor that surely deserve recognition in their month of honor. They commemorate two dynamic men in American history, and truly stand for what Bourbon Heritage Month is all about.
Bourbon is generally meant to be enjoyed on its own. Why add mixers to something that’s as perfect as this? Instead, add some character to your meals with some enticing recipes courtesy of Jefferson’s, Jefferson’s and Sam Houston--three bourbons worth celebrating!

About Jefferson's Bourbons :
McLain & Kyne Bourbons:
McLain & Kyne, Ltd., known for their quintessential "Very Small Batch" bourbons, represents the quality and integrity only found in handcrafted products. Utilizing indigenous grains--corn, malted barley and rye--as well as the renowned clean, crisp limestone water of Kentucky--bourbon is the true spirit of America.
Trey Zoeller, founder of McLain & Kyne, Ltd. and his father, Chet, carry on the tradition of their ancestors, the McLains and the Kynes. Both the McLains and the Kynes have roots deep in the bourbon industry dating back to the late 18th and 19th centuries. Today, as in the past, the attention to detail results in such acclaimed products.
Jefferson's Reserve:
Like the accomplished third President of the US, this bourbon is complex, elegant and sophisticated. Jefferson's Reserve is allowed to age slowly and reach maturity naturally. This results in a rich bouquet and flavor as well as a soft round finish.
Jefferson's:
This very small batch, handcrafted bourbon has been aged in the heart of metal clad warehouses to accentuate the extreme temperatures that Kentucky is blessed with, forcing the bourbon to expand deep into the barrel and pull out the prevalent flavors of the wood. These flavors of vanilla, caramel and assorted fruits assure an incredibly smooth taste and finish.
Sam Houston:
Similar to the colorful Sam Houston, first president of the Republic of Texas, this bourbon is full of character. The high percentage of rye in the mash bill gives this bourbon its spicy quality. Combined with a deep char, this expressive whisky is robust yet elegant.
“We invite you to join us in our passion and to experience all of our aged, Kentucky treasures,” said Roseann Sessa, Vice President - Marketing & Public Relations, Castle Brands Inc.
