Verdi Sparkletini Issues New Green Apple
Carriage House Imports has announced an addition to its popular Verdi Sparkletini line of flavored sparkling wines. Next month the New Jersey-based importer will unveil Verdi Green Apple Sparkletini, which joins Peach and Raspberry extensions in the series. Verdi’s Sparkletinis contain 5% abv and retail for approximately $6 per 750-ml.
At roughly 650,000 cases in 2006, Sparkletini’s parent brand Verdi Spumante is among the leaders of the U.S. sparkling wine segment and has been an Impact Hot Brand the last four years running. Verdi introduced the Sparkletini line, which accounted for about 80,000 cases last year, in an effort to expand the brand’s off-premise sales and promote it for new consumption occasions beyond the traditionally strong holiday selling period.
