More Flavor Added to Van Gogh Vodka
Florida-based Luctor International has unveiled a new extension for its Van Gogh vodka range—Acai-Blueberry. Swathed in royal purple hues, Van Gogh Acai-Blueberry will begin hitting shelves in early summer and will retail for approximately $25 per 750-ml. bottle.
Like the pomegranate, the acai fruit has been lately heralded for its health benefits and has gained prominence in the soft drinks category.
"The Acai is widely popular in Brazil, where major cities have thousands of acai juice bars," said Luctor's founder and president Dave van de Velde. "There, acai is served as a frozen snack similar to shaved ice or soft-serve ice cream. As aficionados know, acai always tastes better chilled."
With 19 flavored offerings under the Van Gogh brand, Luctor International has capitalized on the flavor craze that has engulfed the vodka category. Last September, the company unveiled a pomegranate addition to the range.
About Van Gogh Vodka:
All Van Gogh Flavored Vodkas are distilled and bottled by the Royal Dirkzwager Distilleries in Schiedam, Holland, a city famous since the 16th century for innovation in the distillation sciences.
Handmade in small batches by our own Master Distiller Tim Vos, Van Gogh Flavored Vodka is painstakingly crafted using only the finest fruit, grains and purified water. The grain alcohol goes through a multiple distillation process followed by an all-natural double infusion flavoring process, an innovative six-week procedure pioneered by the Royal Dirkzwager Distilleries to create Van Gogh Flavored Vodka's signature smooth taste.
In addition to three distilleries, the Royal Dirkzwager Distilleries also own the two largest Dutch spirit distribution companies, a liquor and wine import company, vineyards in Bordeaux and hundreds of liquor stores around the world. A family owned business, passed down from father to son since 1891, the original Dirkzwager distillery was recently rebuilt under the supervision of the Holland Monument Society.
Dirkzwager Distillery in 2005 received a Royal Appointment by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, for 125 years of consistent excellence and reliable quality.
Van Gogh spirits are imported into the United States exclusively by Luctor International.
