Roblar Winery & Vineyards, Santa Ynez Valley’s highly anticipated new winery and visitor center, will officially open its doors to the public on Saturday April 28th, 2007. Located in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley, Roblar Winery & Vineyards will celebrate the grand opening with gourmet food pairings, chef demonstrations, live music and special offers on select wines and gifts.

Much More than Just a Tasting Room, The Highly Anticipated Roblar Winery, Marketplace and Culinary School Offers Visitors A Full Taste of the Wine Lifestyle...

The winery, which produces a full complement of super premium estate and appellation varietals ranging in price from $20-$40, is a true departure; offering visitors much more than the requisite tasting room experience. Designed by world-renowned architect, Bob Easton, the bold, rustic, lodge-style estate features a grand tasting hall, gourmet marketplace, culinary school, separate VIP lounge and outdoor dinning terraces.

In making the announcement, General Manager Richard Foster noted, “Roblar Winery & Vineyards has been designed from the ground up to offer our visitors the most unique wine country experience possible – we think of it as immersion therapy. We start with great wines, of course, but go further to indulge visitors in our one-of-a-kind culinary arts program, our artisan foods and gourmet gifts marketplace, and the preferred access and amenities of our "Top Floor Member’s Lounge.”

About the Roblar Winery Building and Grounds:
Designed by architect Bob Easton, the 5,000 square foot Roblar Winery houses a 12,000 case production facility, barrel aging room, tasting hall, demonstration kitchen and VIP lounge and tasting bar.

Exteriors include a 2,500 square foot covered porch adjacent to the tasting hall, an outdoor wood burning pizza oven, several vista terraces, courtyard water fountain, eucalyptus log pergolas, oak studded picnic lawns and expansive gardens.

The unique architecture, highlighted by one of the largest indoor/outdoor fireplaces in Santa Ynez Valley, reflects the rustic, authentic and bold signature of the Valley.

About the Roblar Winery Culinary School:
The Roblar Winery Culinary School will host cooking classes weekly on Saturday and Wednesday evenings.

Classes will be taught by renowned local, regional and national chefs.

The classes will focus on using fresh, local ingredients and organic produce, including those from the winery’s own organic herb and vegetable garden.

A complete schedule of classes will be posted in the tasting room and online at www.roblarwinery.com .

The Roblar Winery Gourmet Marketplace will specialize in showcasing foods from local farms, orchards, dairies and gourmet purveyors.

Additionally, the Marketplace will feature local and international artisan cheeses and hand crafted foods, including our own “Epicurean to Go” wine trail picnics.

The Marketplace will offer a wide selection of gourmet cooking accessories, high-end house wares and wine related gifts.

The Marketplace will also host daily food and wine pairing seminars.

About the Roblar Winery Top Floor Members’ Lounge:

The Member’s Lounge, which is accessed via a private elevator, includes an exclusive tasting bar and entertainment center as well as a dedicated staff.

Visitors to the Member’s Lounge will enjoy preferred access to super premium Roblar wines paired with gourmet appetizers from the winery’s culinary school kitchen.

About Roblar Wines & Winemaking:
