Don Sebastiani & Sons Launches Redesigned s|k|n Label

DSebastianiSons_SKN2bot-w.jpgSonoma Valley-based wine negociant Don Sebastiani & Sons today announced the unveiling of a newly redesigned package for its Screw Kappa Napa brand. The label, consisting of Napa Valley wines finished under screw cap, has seen double-digit sales growth each year since its 2001 inception.

The new package, shown in the attached images, has a contemporary feel with bold color use and richly embossed texturing. The brand’s name has also been streamlined – the original Screw Kappa Napa epithet is now deemphasized in favor of the acronymic s|k|n.

DSebastianiSons_SKNbot-w.jpgs|k|n is a core brand in the Don & Sons Three Loose Screws sales portfolio, which also represents the appellation-focused Aquinas Napa Valley and Mia’s Playground brands.

Don Sebastiani & Sons is a family-owned wine negociant firm specializing in the marketing of upscale, but moderately priced varietal wines. Principals Don Sebastiani and sons, Donny and August, are third and fourth generation California vintners and merchants. Don Sebastiani & Sons markets two separate portfolios, the Three Loose Screws Wine Company and The Other Guys. Don & Sons was named American Winery of the Year for 2005 by Wine Enthusiast Magazine, as well as Winery of the Year for 2005 by Gomberg, Fredrikson & Associates, a leading wine industry consulting firm. Its Pepperwood Grove and Smoking Loon brands were both named Impact Hot Brands of 2005 by M. Shanken Communications, publisher of The Wine Spectator and Impact Newsletter. The wines of Don Sebastiani & Sons regularly appear in the Quarterly Review of Wines, which three times has named a Don & Sons wine the “Wine of the Quarter.”
