The French Wine Society Now Happening In San Francisco!
Back in November 2006, around the time French Wine Society, (FWS), celebrated its’ first year anniversary in Washington, DC, the FWS announced they were also preparing to launch a new chapter in San Francisco, CA.
Starting in the spring of 2007 with an inaugural event entitled "The French Wine Affaire", the French Wine Society will then bring "French Wine Thursdays", "Tour de Champagne", "April In..." and French Wine Classes to San Francisco. Launched in November 2005 in Washington DC as the inaugural event of the FWS, the French Wine Affaire is the flagship event of the society.
Gathering over 150 French wines from every major French wine region, this walk-around tasting offers the opportunity to travel throughout the wine regions of France in one afternoon while enjoying French artisanal hors d'oeuvres!
From Alsace to Burgundy, Champagne to the Loire, Bordeaux, the Rhone Valley, Beaujolais as well as more obscure wine regions, discover the diversity and terroirs of France.
Featured wines will range from icon estates to smaller producers, brought to the US by quality-focused importers. Wines poured will be made available for order by K&L Wine Merchants.

The French Wine Society, in partnership with the prestigious Society of Wine Educators, now offers a unique opportunity to increase your French wine knowledge and enjoyment!!!
The curriculum is divided into 2 sessions of 3 classes, with each class focusing on a specific wine region. The one hour and a half class will finish by a tasting of different wines from the featured region.
Session 1 will be held over three weeks, on consecutive Mondays from 6:45pm to 8:15pm:
- Monday, March 12th, Burgundy
- Monday, March 19th, Loire Valley
- Monday, March 26th, Rhone Valley
