WBW #28 Wind-ups Is out.. - REVISED:

Brenda did a great job with all the entries–looks like there were something like 25 contributors for WBW #28, or so...
Lots of wines from all over the world--quite a few first timers to the WBW, too! The Wine Blogging Wednesday is doing well and growing every month.
“Dave from Avenue Wine (thanks for the fancy logo, Dave!) -"
THE ESSENCE:
Dave from Avenue Wine (thanks for the fancy logo, Dave!) also has a California wine he places in either the Special or Party category. . .
He reviewed Chandon Sparkling Wine Brut Classic and not only do you get a review but lots of background info, too. He should have been in post 1, but... .
Anyway, Dave actually did make it through several sparkling wines-- getting his post up just after I'd finished the hurried summaries...
In fact, he should have tied for our “SUPER ACHIEVER” award...
Here’s his list of California Sparklers:
1. Chandon Sparkling Wine Brut Classic - California = PARTY!
2. NV Chandon Sparkling Wine Blanc de Noirs - Carneros = PARTY!
3. 2002 Schramsberg Sparkling Wine Blanc de Blancs - California = PARTY!
4. NV Monticello Vineyards Sparkling Wine Montreaux Brut - Napa Valley = DUDs
5. NV Chandon Sparkling Wine Riche - California = PARTY!
6. NV Chandon Sparkling Wine Reserve Brut - Carneros = PARTY!
One link takes you to all the details....
Update December 18, 13-15, Oh, well....
THE FLAME:
[WTHey–I guess the "toll" of all them bubbles pushed me WBW-Wednesday to a WBF-Fried Friday! I missed the imposed deadline clean as a whistle...Silly me, when ah’ 6 turned out to be ah’ 9, or 13 slid to 15 some time last month...]
[But like ole’ Lenn says “It's just WBW...” I can hang with that, and with being a space cadet on the 13 / 15 - Wednesday / Friday thang–yea' laughing @ me sef’ is always a warm blush!:]
*“. . . has a California wine he places in either the Special or Party category. Although Dave had great aspirations to rival our super achiever, I think life and the holidays took their toll!” [?][*BUT: ]“Dave had great aspirations to rival our super achiever, I think life and the holidays took their toll!” [Might, and I say just might have been the burr that raised welt on the flaming back-side of my...]
“. . . still he reviewed Chandon Sparkling Wine Brut Classic and not only do you get a review but lots of background info, too. “
[Ahhhhhh! I just sour grapes my stuff was late anyway... An flamin’ always gets yah burned in the end anyhow! LoL.]
--Crow goes down well with Cold Duck I’ve found, too...
Brenda did do a bang up job on the Wrap-up, and she fulfilled her postulate of the Thursday / Friday reveal--much to the plesure of many I'm told. Don’t get me wrong here I have nuthin' but admiration for the Gal! Like I said earlier “Brenda did a great job with all the entries . . .”
Ok! And Thanks Again Brenda @ Seattle Culinary Fool...

Oh, I see--was due on the 13th.. An heck--I even put Friday!...
Gosh, I sure hope no one else posted their contributions to late for Brenda to get them into her write-ups!
Sorry for the wrong date on the fllier, folks. Ole’ Bren an' all must ah’ had more than a good laugh over that one...
Oh boy, on to #29!

Hi Dave,
I have finished updating the summary as I mentioned to you that I would via email this morning. It's unfortunate that your email came in after I'd posted the summaries and was already out of town. But, as I'd mentioned in the announcement, my goal was to get the summary up quickly so that it would be as useful as possible for people looking for a recommendation for holiday parties or celebrations and from my email it seems many people did appreciate that.
I guess I should have brought the date to your attention when you sent me the logo with the 15th and perhaps we could have avoided this misunderstanding but I thought you'd customized it for the summary date, since Wine Blogging Wednesday is always actually on Wednesday.

Being a little harsh on Brenda, aren't ya?
It's just WBW...not anything worth getting huffy over, right?
Posted by: Lenn at December 19, 2006 12:56 PM
Yea, I feel real bad, LennI! An I thought a “huffy” was a bicycle, too? More like testy–maybe was all that CO2 in my blood from so many sparklers!?!
Any way, all amended and the feather pie was quite tasty, too–thanks for stoppin’ by, Lenn :)

Yer right, yer right–yer right, Brenda! I'm so sorry.
Ahhhhhh! I just sour grapes my stuff was late anyway... An I well know: flamin’ always gets yah burned in the end anyhow!
Like I said Brenda--you did a great job!
Thanks for all your effort, and stoppin' by, too :)
