Martell Noblige Cognac Released by Pernod Ricard

MartellNobligeCognac-w.jpgWhite Plains, New York-based Pernod Ricard USA has unveiled a new product under its Martell Cognac brand, Martell Noblige—a Cognac the company has dubbed “Qualite Superieur” because it is a step above VSOP. Noblige is designed for the style-conscious connoisseur and aims to create a new point of reference in the Cognac category.

“Martell is the oldest of the four major Cognac houses and is world renowned for creating the broadest range of superior Cognacs,” says Abegail Domond, Martell marketing director at Pernod Ricard USA. “Noblige is an extraordinary Cognac and a perfect fit for the Martell family. We are confident that Cognac consumers will embrace Noblige for its distinctive style and sensuous appeal, as well as its superior quality.”

Martell Noblige has a dark copper hue with hints of pear and lemon on the nose and floral tastes in the mouth. It is made with a greater share of eau-de-vies from the Borderies growing area in Charente, France, and aged in new “noble” fine-grained oak barrels.

The 40-percent alcohol-by-volume spirit debuted nationwide in May both on- and off-premise with support from a marketing campaign celebrating urban style. The brand also launched a campaign called “Salute to Style” in five markets—Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit and Washington D.C.—with giveaways and on-premise VIP events that searched for the best Martell Noblige Sharp Dressed Man. Martell Noblige retails for $39.99 a 750-ml. bottle and is also available in 375-ml. and 50-ml. bottle sizes.
